Newton Manufacturing is one of the largest and most respected promotional product distributors in the country. Our home office is located in Newton, Iowa, and employs over 100 sales service, IT, marketing, design and fulfillment specialists. They support a sales force of over 600 independent contractors from across the United States.
Our mission is to enable our sales representatives and their clients to reach their fullest potential while exceeding their expectations. Since 1988, Newton Manufacturing has been an employee-owned company. As such, each employee-owner has a vested interest in success of the company. Employees at all levels are encouraged to share their ideas and actively participate in the growth of the company. The result is higher levels of service and support for our representatives and their clients.
As an employee-owned company, we are committed to being active citizens in our community. We support several local organizations that are important to our employees. We have been in the same location since our founding and are proud to have employed multiple generations of central Iowa families.
Why “Manufacturing”?
Newton Manufacturing was founded in 1909 by George Newton after he invented the “Safety Magazine Match Safe”. The company manufactured these and several other promotional products that were sold nationwide. In 1943, a fire destroyed our manufacturing facilities. With resources being dedicated to the military needs of World War II, rebuilding was not an option.
It was decided that the company would cease its manufacturing operations and focus on expanding the national distribution network that was started in the lean years of the Great Depression. The “Manufacturing” name was left intact for brand recognition. Since then, we have grown into the full service promotional advertising provider that we are today.
