Newton Donates over $11K to United Way

Employees of Newton Manufacturing Company came together during the week of Oct. 26 raise funds and awareness for the United Way of Jasper County. Totals from fundraising events, employee pledges, and corporate donations resulted in over $11,000 in contributions for the community organization.
“This really shows the commitment of our people to their community,” said Lee Cochran, Newton Manufacturing’s president. “Despite economic worries, they gave in record numbers to help those in the area who are needing a hand.”
