Though it’s been hanging around a bit early, summer officially arrives in June and with it comes the sun and plenty of outdoor activities. More activity in the summer months means more potential for preventable injuries. It’s an opportunity to promote a variety of safety and prevention measure in your community. National Safety Month incorporates workplace safety as well, making it an opportunity to create an internal marketing campaign around safety. The promotional products should be relevant to the safety issue you are promoting. A few good generic ideas include flashlights, reflectors or first aid kits.

Two words: Ice. Cream. Nothing says summer like this frozen dairy treat. You could surprise your employees with a treat or have a customer appreciation event. Then serve it with logoed bowls, spoons, cups, mugs - anything that can hold ice cream. If you want to get fancy, there’s cheese board sets complete with knives and cheese. I could get on a big soap box about the dangers of skin cancer based on personal experience, but I will spare you and stick to the facts. Skin cancer is one of the most aggressive and lethal forms of cancer. It is also one of the most preventable. The easiest way is to cover up with a t-shirt and cap.
