The employee owners of Top 40 distributor Newton Manufacturing Company generously opened their wallets for the Jasper County Relay for Life to benefit the American Cancer Society. Through a series of events including an auction, garage sale and casual days, the company and employees donated $3,500 to the organization.
A team of 16 Newton employees participated in the Relay itself and many more showed up to the event hosted at H.A. Lynn Stadium in Newton, IA to support their team and a great cause. The company’s Relay committee also sold purple silicone “More Birthdays” rings from supplier Dixieland Emblematics in weeks before and during the event.
The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life is a community celebration where groups of friends, families, neighbors and coworkers form teams to walk or run
around a track, to raise spirits, awareness and funds to fight cancer through American Cancer Society research, education, advocacy and patient and family services.
